报告摘要:

Design sensitivity analysis (DSA) is an important ingredient in structural optimization (SO). In this talk, we will first introduce complex variable method (CVM) as an alternative procedure to finite difference method to get approximate derivatives numerically for any real-valued functions. Next, various method of DSA for SO will be briefly reviewed. These include DSA for static response, eigensolutions and forced dynamic responses. The application of CVM to these DSA formulations will then be presented. Several numerical examples will be used to illustrate the application of CVM in DSA. We will conclude this talk by pointing to some potential area for further application of CVM in DSA.

Prof. Boping Wang, Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, University of Texas at Arlington, USA
